Whew!
I made it to Los Angeles after a very interesting "bon voyage." I was supposed to take off from Love Field at 4:45 and then switch planes in Austin to get to Pepperdine. But, the sudden bad weather made that route unavailable to me. Instead, they cancelled the first leg of the flight and sent me to DFW to catch a different flight during rush hour... To make a long story short, I arrived at campus three hours late and very worn out.
My friends here made it all worth it, though! They stayed up and waited for me to get in with cookies and juice to celebrate. My suitemate from last year, Cait, has an extra bed in her room and she had it all ready for me to crawl into on Thursday night. Now, I just have a few days to relax and visit with my friends. I've already packed for Europe, so I have nothing to worry about.
We're leaving from LAX on Tuesday afternoon. Please be praying that we have a safe flight!
